The world is full of people who are successful, those who are not yet successful, and those who will never be successful. For you to develop a structure of success one needs positive thinking and a success doctrine. This is based on the following

  1. The wisdom which is Jesus Christ (Proverbs 19: 18).
  2. Success-oriented thinking always that you can make it, which can be achieved through 4P’s
    • Prepare prayerfully
    • Plan Purposefully
    • Proceed positively
    • Pursue persistently
  3. Inner happiness (Peace) (Romans 5:1) Peace with people and God.
  4. Relaxed mind (Proverbs 14:30) A relaxed attitude lengthens a man’s life
  5. Capacity to love – do not have a selfish mind and involve other people in your plans (James 4: 2-
  6. Master all the details of life – you are a product of your own thoughts, take control of your thoughts and ideas and you can change others by changing your own life.

Wisdom is the success doctrine which is Jesus Christ. We become what we think about. At the peak of happiness, there is a downfall, and it’s only Christ who can maintain us in both peaks.

In Life, there is always a price for everything. “The price for making it in life is committing yourself totally to Christ’

Planning

Planning is the blueprint for success. There are groups of people

  • 3% set goals, plan, write down, they succeed between 50 – 100%
  • 10% set goals, plan, they don’t write they will succeed 30 – 60%
  • 87% don’t do anything.

Reasons why people don’t set goals

  • They don’t know how
  • It is too much trouble
  • Have no faith in their goals and plans after they have developed
  • Most believe in long term basis hence no results hence they get discouraged

Proverbs 24: 10 “if you faint in the day of adversity your strength is small”

Isaiah 40: 30 is the solution. Those who wait upon the Lord their strength will be renewed…. You will be raised above the problem and see what awaits you after the problems.

Planning involves:

  • Set a goal
  • Make a plan to avoid chaos
  • Establish a target date and take into consideration your potential and resources
  • Group thinking – get ideas from other people
  • Have faith
  • Act

People who make goals and plans in life dictate others

Balance

  • Spiritual balance – avoid both extremes like seeing yourself holier than others or defending sins
  • Financial balance – misunderstanding success Proverb 18:11, Ecclesiastes 5: 10 He that loves silver shall not be satisfied with silver nor he loves abundance with increase: this is also vanity.
    • Don’t have debts it spoils relations and God doesn’t talk to you.
    • Don’t buy impulsively have budgets
    • Pay yourself first then start saving
    • Remember God Ecclesiastes 2:10
  • Work balance – Avoid both extremes overworking vs. laziness
  • Education balance – The aim of education is to work in order to make it in life you must have wisdom. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
  • Recreation balance – Plan your leisure time well

In Psalms 139: 16 The Lord wrote all about you in His book ‘Your eyes did see my substance yet being imperfect and in your book all my members were written which in continuance were fashioned when as yet there was none of them.

In Jeremiah 29: 11 The Lord has good thoughts for you to prosper and conquer. “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, said the LORD thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

In Philippians 4:13 the Lord will give you strength therefore keep your trust in God above all success will be your portion. “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
